In this journey through time, a lonely girl mourning the loss of her beloved dog throws a stone into the sea.

The story then takes a magical turn as her stone hits an earth-like planet and we follow, via the world of the dinosaurs and various ancient civilisations, the transformation of a vast rock into another stone – which the girl plucks from the sea and places on her dog’s grave.

A Stone for Sascha has been nominated for the 2019 CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal.
