Float

Daniel Miyares

In this story a dad makes his son a paper boat, which the boy plays with happily in the rain and puddles – until disaster strikes. Fortunately clever Dad has another trick up his sleeve.

The illustrations are done in watercolour with the use of digital tools, and there is strong use of vivid yellow.

The endpapers show diagrams of how to make the paper models. This is pretty much vital information, since any children looking at the book with you will almost certainly request their own paper boat so they can play their own games.
